{"id":3933,"date":"2024-12-08T10:44:52","date_gmt":"2024-12-08T10:44:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.smc-design.com\/?p=3933"},"modified":"2025-09-01T09:19:56","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T08:19:56","slug":"cruise-saudi-welcomes-aroya-to-jeddah","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.smc-design.com\/de\/cruise-saudi-welcomes-aroya-to-jeddah\/","title":{"rendered":"(English) Cruise Saudi Welcomes AROYA to Jeddah"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"237\" data-end=\"423\">SMC Design is proud to have contributed to a landmark moment in Saudi Arabia\u2019s growing cruise industry: the arrival of AROYA Cruises\u2019 first ship, <em data-start=\"383\" data-end=\"390\">AROYA<\/em>, in her homeport of Jeddah on 7th December 2024.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"688\">The occasion was marked by a traditional plaque and key ceremony at Jeddah Islamic Port, attended by AROYA\u2019s captain, Jan Gelinder; Cruise Saudi CEO, Lars Clasen; AROYA Cruises President, Dr Jorg Rudolph; and Chief Destination Experiences Officer, Barbara Buczek.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"690\" data-end=\"998\">Following an extensive transformation in Bremerhaven and Rotterdam, <em data-start=\"758\" data-end=\"765\">AROYA<\/em> now features a fully reimagined interior, with 95% of guest-facing spaces redesigned by SMC Design. The result is a ship that offers a world-class experience while celebrating Arabian heritage, culture and preferences at every turn.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1000\" data-end=\"1286\">Key features include the largest retail space ever built on a cruise ship &#8211; designed to evoke the atmosphere of a traditional souq &#8211; as well as 29 restaurants, lounges and caf\u00e9s, 20 entertainment venues, a luxury spa and wellness centre, and one of the largest children\u2019s play areas at sea.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1288\" data-end=\"1476\">SMC Design worked closely with Cruise Saudi and AROYA Cruises to create interiors that feel both luxurious and culturally resonant, ensuring guests enjoy a unique and memorable experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SMC Design is proud to have contributed to a landmark moment in Saudi Arabia\u2019s growing cruise industry: the arrival of AROYA Cruises\u2019 first ship, AROYA, in her homeport of Jeddah on 7th December 2024.
