SMC Art Consultancy is nominated in the 'Bespoke Cabinetry/Installation' category for 'This Scepter'd Isle' onboard Spirit of Discovery
SMC Design has been nominated within the ‘Bespoke Cabinetry/Installation category for ‘This Scepter’d Isle’. Designed in-house by Design Associate Alun Roberts, SMC Art successfully created and commissioned this wonderful installation which can now be found aboard Spirit of Discovery by Saga Cruises.
In it’s tenth year, The International Design & Architecture Awards, ran by Design Et Al, shall take place at Grosvenor House on Friday 20th September.
“ The artwork design takes us on a journey through the British Isles. Recognisable elements, both natural, and British-made are included, from the white cliffs of Dover to the Angel of the North, from Giles Gilbert Scott’s red telephone box to the Forth Bridge: all inviting the passenger to look closer, discovering more and more on each viewing. It is a celebration of everything our Scepter'd Isles have to offer. ”
