(English) The spa and wellness spaces aboard ASUKA III are designed to support balance, movement and restoration throughout the voyage. From the Albatross Pool and spa facilities to the salon, fitness studio, golf simulator and sports court, each environment has been carefully shaped by SMC Design to feel purposeful, calming and connected to the wider ship. Unified by a restrained material palette, considered lighting and a strong sense of flow, these spaces offer guests the freedom to unwind, recharge or stay active, all within a cohesive and thoughtfully designed setting.

(English) Albatross Pool & Pool Side Bar

(English) The Albatross Pool & Pool Side Bar is a narrative-led exterior space that brings calm and nature together on ASUKA III’s open deck. Warm timber, layered lighting and choreographed seating create a refined atmosphere, while a dramatic living wall forms a strong vertical focal point beside the pool.

(English) ASUKA Field

(English) The ASUKA Field on ASUKA III is conceived as a bold, architectural feature on the upper deck, combining active recreation with expansive ocean views. Enclosed within a robust, mesh-clad structure, the court balances openness and safety while allowing light, air and sea horizons to flow through the space. The clean-lined steel framework contrasts with the deep blue playing surface, creating a striking, contemporary silhouette against the sky. Designed for versatility and durability, it offers guests a dynamic place to play and move, while its elevated position makes sport an integral, visible part of life on deck rather than a hidden facility.

(English) Salon & Spa

(English) The Salon & Spa on ASUKA III is designed as a calm, contemporary space defined by warm timber finishes, soft lighting and a clear, uncluttered layout. A composed reception area leads into serene treatment rooms where bespoke joinery, pale timber floors and generous sea views create a restorative atmosphere. The design balances functionality with understated luxury, supporting a relaxed and professional salon experience.

(English) ASUKA Wellness Club

(English) Positioned along the ship’s outer edge, the ASUKA Wellness Club is designed to maximise natural light and uninterrupted sea views through full-height glazing. Warm timber floors and ceilings create a calm, contemporary setting, while carefully spaced equipment zones support a range of training styles. The open, uncluttered layout promotes a sense of focus and flow, allowing guests to exercise in a space that feels both purposeful and closely connected to the surrounding seascape.

(English) The Links

(English) The Links on ASUKA III is a refined, immersive golf simulator space where design and technology work in quiet harmony. Warm timber panelling, clean-lined joinery and a calm, linear layout create a focused, lounge-like atmosphere that frames the experience rather than competing with it. At its heart is Full Swing technology, allowing guests to play world-famous courses with professional-level realism, while discreet seating and bar-height counters encourage relaxed spectating and conversation. It is a space designed as much for social enjoyment as for precision play – understated, tactile and effortlessly polished.

(English) Grand Spa

(English) The Grand Spa is a traditionally Japanese wellness retreat located high on ASUKA III’s upper decks, framed by full-height glazing and panoramic ocean views. Conceived as a spatial sequence, it combines natural materials, discreet lighting, indoor and outdoor baths and a glass-walled sauna. Winner of Best Wellness Space at the 2025 Cruise Ship Interiors Awards.
