(English) The Atrium & Retail spaces onboard ASUKA III form the social and spatial heart of the ship, setting the tone for the onboard experience. Conceived as a welcoming, light-filled environment, the design brings together circulation, retail and moments of pause within a cohesive architectural language that reflects ASUKA III’s refined, residential character.

(English) ASUKA Plaza

(English) ASUKA Plaza is the social and emotional heart of ASUKA III and the clearest expression of its residential design philosophy. Spanning three decks, asymmetry creates movement and shifting perspectives. A nine-metre artwork by Kazumi Murose and a cantilevered glass staircase anchor the space.

(English) Reception, Anchor Bar & Traveller's Salon

(English) Reception is defined by clarity, balance and material precision. Symmetrical marble desks, rich timber panelling and vertical detailing create a composed arrival experience. Restrained palettes and integrated lighting support intuitive orientation, expressing Japanese hospitality through craft, order and quiet confidence.
Located adjacent to ASUKA Plaza, the Traveller's Salon is an elegant café and the Anchor Bar offers a curated selection of premium Japanese sake. The space is accented by elegant Japanese paintings by Sohei Iwata.

(English) Aube

(English) Aube is a jewellery boutique conceived as a calm, gallery-like setting for fine pieces and travel-ready accessories. Soft, focused lighting and carefully composed display moments encourage discovery and those serendipitous finds that feel made for the journey, all expressed through ASUKA III’s refined, residential design language.

(English) Cielmer

(English) Cielmer is a curated retail boutique designed as a refined architectural backdrop for fashion-led collections. Warm neutrals, textured finishes and subtle metallic accents combine with integrated lighting and bespoke joinery to create an elegant, intuitive shopping experience aligned with ASUKA III’s residential design language.

(English) Gallery Café

(English) Gallery Café is a calm, contemplative space shaped by flowing geometry and softened lines as it curves around the ASUKA Plaza atrium. Hiroshi Senju’s artwork forms a poetic focal point, while soft timbers, gold accents and kokihanada blue create an elevated setting for moments of pause.

(English) 721 Books & Café

(English) A serene library lounge named after the vessel’s construction number, where reading and relaxation go hand-in-hand. Designed as a tranquil retreat from the bustle of sea days, the space pairs a thoughtfully curated selection of books with a café offering tea, coffee and light refreshment moments, encouraging guests to unwind with a good book and gentle conversation. Its calm palette, comfortable seating and quiet ambience reflect ASUKA III’s broader ethos of thoughtful hospitality and refined public spaces that invite pause and reflection at sea.
