(English) SMC Design were responsible for the design and implementation of all cabins and suites onboard Spirit of Discovery, all following the brief of curating a personable and comfortable environment within a boutique-feel aesthetic.

(English) Standard Cabin

(English) A boutique cabin with mid-century inspired dark walnut furniture and detailing throughout, complemented with tactile colourful textures found in the Osborne and Little cushions. Contemporary artwork by Colin Moore hangs on the wall, with no neighbouring cabins sharing the same piece to enhance the boutique approach of the hotel.

(English) Deluxe Cabin

(English) A spacious cabin following the boutique style of the hotel. Consistent design features include the metalic bird adorning the side lamps to the bed, whilst changeable features such as the headboard colour and bed throws enhance the hotels boutique approach to the cabin design philosophy. Additional features such as a walk-in wardrobe, a mini bar counter and a larger balcony for outdor dining give added value to this larger cabin.

(English) Mid-Ship's Suite

(English) Located centrally on cabin decks, the Mid-Ship Suite offers an independent lounge, bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom space. On entry, passengers are greeted into a lounge space with a cross-hatch inspired carpet design, with moulded profiles and contemporary artwork adorning the walls. Within the bedroom a Super King size beds comes as standard with a mid-century inspired vanity unit. A double vanity unit welcomes guests into the bathroom, with tile floor and walls providing the palette for the bath and shower enclosure to sit within.

(English) Aft Suite

(English) The suites at the aft end of the ship take their names from the sea and coastal areas of the British Isles that contribute to the shipping forecast. These suites benefit from having a larger footprint than the Mid-Ship Suites, allowing guests to enjoy indulgent luxury in more spacious surroundings on longer cruises onboard Spirit of Discovery.

(English) The Rose Suite

(English) The Rose Suite - named after the first ship that SAGA Cruises owned - is soft and calming in colour palette, with an appreciation to detail realised in the light fixtures and traditional wall mouldings. A botanical influence is evident, seen within the cushions, artwork by Sally Pond and the carpet design within the lounge and bedroom. An in-room butler service is availabe, taking place on the dark timber herringbone patterned floor in the dining room. Space is plentiful with the bathroom, with seperate enclosures for a shower, WC and jacuzzi bath set to a backdrop of thinl veined Italian marble and tiles by Fameed Khalique.

(English) The Ruby Suite

(English) The Ruby Suite has an emphasis on bold rich colours, with dark timber wood grains and stonework highlighted with tones of racing green and brass metalwork within each room. The floral and fauna thread found throughout the hotel finds it's way into this suite within the decorative cushions in the bedroom and lounge. A forward facing window bay within the lounge area offers the occupants the opportunity to relax with a book whilst enjoying undisturbed views out to sea over the bow of the ship. In this suite, the herringbone pattern found on the parquet wood floor in the dining room is followed through into the curtains, leading out the balcony area with a comfortable sofa and seats.

(English) The Joseph Meyer Suite

(English) On entry to The Joseph Meyer Suite, guests are greeted by a lush carved carpet paired with rich greys and teals within the rooms interior decor. Delicate lighting complements the coastal inspired artwork by Yuliya Martynova, whilst in the bedroom a curved timber headboard with a cream leather insert sits infront of a teal blue leather and brass trimmed backdrop. The suite was named by SAGA Cruises in recognition of Meyer Werft shipyard's founder, Joseph L Meyer.

(English) The Sidney De Haan Suite

(English) Named in salute to the founder of SAGA, The Sidney De Haan Suite is monochromatic in tone, with dashes of blush pink and brass through the carpet and furniture emphasising the nod to Art Deco era visible within the design. Opulent lighting highlights key areas with dark timber prominent in the cabinetry details. High-end stonework is showcasesd within the bathroom, with a Rosa marble double vanity unit sitting alongside marble clad bath and shower enclosures.
