SMC Design was proud to exhibit at Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America, held on 3-4 June at the Miami Beach Convention Center.
On Day 2, Senior Associate Alun Roberts led a dynamic conference session on the future of interactive signage in cruise environments. He was joined by an inspiring panel of experts: Luigi Ruocco, Senior Specialist Signage at MSC Cruises; Mara Davis, Vice President of Design & Account Management at Bourne Group; and Carl Lesvoix, Partner and Design & Signage Director at Tillberg Design of Sweden. Together, they explored how digital wayfinding and immersive signage are reshaping passenger experiences on board.
The session sparked lively discussion around the integration of storytelling, technology, and brand identity in signage design. Alun expressed his appreciation for the collaborative insights shared, noting the value of cross-disciplinary perspectives in pushing the boundaries of cruise design.
We’d like to thank everyone who stopped by our stand – it was a pleasure to connect and share our latest projects. And a big thank you to the Cruise Ship Interiors team for delivering a fantastic show despite the rainy weather, which made it feel a little like home in the UK!
We’re already looking ahead to Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe in Hamburg on 3-4 December.
