SMC Design created a unique F&B experience that firmly resonates with the family audience. We aimed to design an offering intrinsically connected to Parisian culture, SMC Design wove together the old French Neoclassical interiors and Art Nouveau architecture in harmonious co-existence. The space has been designed with a hand-painted fresco ceiling, antique mirrors, stained timber wainscoting reflecting the rich colour palette, whilst the exterior remains classically Parisian.

The team designed the retail and F&B experience from scratch, expanding from interior design, brand identity, signage and bespoke tableware to furniture, joinery units and artwork.

“SMC Design have been involved in many successful and prestigious projects with MSC Cruises. They continue to offer the highest level of creativity, professionalism and attention to detail. We are delighted to have them as our trusted design partner.”

The interior is enhanced by leather banquettes and free-standing bistro furniture providing mixed seating with a warm colour palette of coral red and soft green. The floor is a classic chic nero and blanco marble checked tiles to create an iconic French bistro that welcomes diners. Reeded glass panels are used to subtly divide the main dining area from the lounge, ensuring an intimate ambience is retained at all times with a mixture of low-level table lighting, ceiling lights and chandeliers to enhance the cosy atmosphere.
The end product ultimately radiates a warm, relaxed and intimate restaurant interior through a collective and layered approach of styling and design. Bringing a sense of traditional French neighbourhood bistro.
