The world’s biggest cruise ship refurbishment. Featured by Architectural Digest.

We're incredibly proud to see AROYA featured by Architectural Digest Middle East, recognising a project that has redefined cruise design through culture, craftsmanship and ambition.

As lead architect, SMC Design transformed the world’s largest cruise refurbishments into the first authentically Arabian cruise experience at sea. From architecture and interior design to FF&E, artwork, wayfinding and storytelling, every space was created to celebrate Saudi identity on a truly unprecedented scale.

Projects of this magnitude don’t happen by chance. They demand vision, trust, technical excellence and a team capable of delivering world-class design across thousands of spaces, all while creating an experience that feels deeply authentic.

At SMC Design, we believe the future of hospitality isn’t about designing beautiful interiors. It’s about creating destinations with meaning.

Thank you to AROYA Cruises and Cruise Saudi for the opportunity to help shape a landmark project that is setting a new global benchmark in cruise design.
