The Atrium and Retail spaces aboard ASUKA III form the social and spatial heart of the ship, setting the tone for the onboard experience. Conceived as a welcoming, light-filled environment, the design unites circulation, retail and moments of pause within a cohesive architectural language that reflects the ship’s refined, residential character.

ASUKA Plaza

The social and emotional heart of the ship and the clearest expression of its residential design philosophy. Spanning three decks, asymmetry creates movement and shifting perspectives, anchored by a nine-metre artwork by Kazumi Murose and a cantilevered glass staircase.

Reception, Anchor Bar & Traveller's Salon

Defined by clarity, balance and material precision, the Reception creates a composed arrival experience through symmetrical marble desks and vertical timber detailing. A restrained palette and integrated lighting support intuitive orientation, expressing Japanese hospitality through craft, order and quiet confidence.

The Traveller's Salon is a calm, light-filled lounge where guests can unwind and research their next cruise. Soft materials, gentle tonal layering and considered lighting create an atmosphere that feels welcoming and quietly elevated.

Located adjacent to ASUKA Plaza, the Anchor Bar offers light refreshments within a refined, intimate setting. Elegant artworks by Sohei Iwata introduce cultural depth and a quiet sense of artistry.

Aube

A jewellery boutique conceived as a calm, gallery-like setting for fine pieces and travel-ready accessories. Soft, focused lighting and carefully composed displays encourage discovery and those serendipitous finds that feel made for the journey.

Cielmer

A curated retail boutique designed as a refined architectural backdrop for fashion-led collections. Warm neutrals, textured finishes and subtle metallic accents combine with integrated lighting and bespoke joinery to create an elegant, intuitive shopping experience.

Gallery Café

A calm, contemplative space of flowing geometry and softened lines, curving around the ASUKA Plaza atrium. Hiroshi Senju's artwork forms a poetic focal point, while soft timbers, gold accents and kokihanada blue create an elevated setting for moments of pause.

721 Books & Café

Named after the vessel's construction number, 721 Books & Café is a serene library lounge where reading and relaxation go hand-in-hand. A curated book selection sits alongside a café offering tea, coffee and light refreshments. Whilst a calm palette, comfortable seating and quiet ambience reflect ASUKA III's ethos of thoughtful hospitality, a space that invites pause and reflection.
